Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan briefly left his iconic sea-facing home, Mannat, and family behind as the mansion gets a major renovation and structural revamp. The star, along with wife Gauri Khan and kids Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, has moved to a high-end temporary residence in Mumbai’s high-end Pali Hill locality.
The work of renovation at Mannat is a part of a big expansion plan where two new floors are being added to the already iconic bungalow. Since the building has heritage status, the process of approval for construction was a long one, but the green signal has now been given and work has officially commenced.
During this period of renovation, the Khan family has shifted to two luxurious duplex apartments in a high-rise residential tower in Pali Hill, Khar. The apartments are well-furnished with all the latest amenities and spacious areas, providing the family with comfort and privacy during their temporary stay away from Mannat.
Aside from being a temporary home for the family, the four floors in the new building will also accommodate security personnel and support staff, along with office space intended for exclusive use. The setup is a testament to the need for personal comfort and ongoing professional work despite being away from their symbolically quintessential home.
Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri, and Suhana were last seen going into their new house, which marked the start of this new, if temporary, page in their lives. The move has created a buzz among fans and media circles, as Mannat is not only a part of the Khans’ lives but also of millions of fans who consider it an icon of Shah Rukh’s journey so far and achievement.
Professionally, Shah Rukh Khan is getting ready for his next major release, King, which is an action film and directed by Siddharth Anand. Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan will reportedly play lead roles along with him, sending a buzz among the public waiting for the new pairing and action-packed narrative.
Even though the temporary relocation was made, the family’s choice to renovate Mannat speaks volumes about their strong emotional attachment to the property. The bungalow has become an architectural and cultural icon in Mumbai over the years. The renovation is set to further elevate its grandeur while maintaining its historic appeal.
With ongoing construction, supporters are still inquisitive and eager to get a glimpse of the end product. One thing is for sure—when the Khans move back into Mannat, it will be into a home that not only shows their legacy but also their continually developing journey.
