All rumors of discord between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant and the team owner Sanjiv Goenka have been laid to rest. The two were spotted in tandem for the Indian Super League (ISL) semifinal match between Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Jamshedpur FC, suggesting there is no discord.
Previously in the IPL 2025 season, heated on-field arguments between Pant and Goenka had fueled rumors of differences, comparing to previous occurrences between KL Rahul. But their together attendance at the ISL match indicates harmony. Goenka, chairman of the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group that owns Mohun Bagan SG, attended the match along with Pant, LSG head coach Justin Langer, and other team officials.
The team saw Mohun Bagan turn around a 2-1 deficit to reach the final, with Lalengmawia ‘Apuia’ Ralte’s goal proving to be the difference. They will play Bengaluru FC in the final at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
In the IPL, LSG will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. The two teams both have two victories and two losses so far in the season with a good head-to-head advantage over KKR.
