Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu recently found that her Instagram account had been hacked. The hacker utilized her account to make fake investment proposals, trying to trick her followers into financial scams.
Dealing with the issue in her usual style, Lakshmi posted on X (formerly Twitter): “My Instagram has been hacked. Please do not interact with anything that comes up on my stories. If I require money, I will ask you directly — not on social media. Will tweet when I get everything back in place.”
She also shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp message, concerned: “And they reached my number too! Wow! This is very scary!
Supporters were quick to defend the actress, cautioning others against phishing scams and urging vigilance. One of the followers said, “This is a typical phishing scam! They probably used your name from your WhatsApp settings to make it look real. Trying to steal your information. Be careful!”
Lakshmi Manchu is soon going to don the role for her next outing Daksha – The Deadly Conspiracy, a medical psychological thriller film by Vamsee Krishna Malla. Along with Siddique, Samuthirakani, and Viswant, its release date will be announced.
